Outlanders can, if maintained well and driven well, last a long time. Engine Patrol puts them at 13–17 years when driving an average of 15,000 years annually. The Driver Adviser says, on average, Outlanders can reach over 200,000 miles before repairs aren't worth it.

There are exceptions out there, like those 20-year-old Outlanders with another few years left on them, we see hit our dealers’ auction lot from time to time. But your sweet spot might be the 2012–2013 models mentioned earlier.
